Eparchy’s Policy


By registering as a Host Family, you agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility & Conduct



1.1 Host Families must be adults over 18 and willing to provide a safe, welcoming environment for young pilgrims.
1.2 All household members must treat pilgrims with respect and dignity, in line with Church values and the Youth Apostolate Code of Conduct.
1.3 Host Families must not engage in any form of harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour.

2. Responsibilities



2.1 Provide safe accommodation for the duration of the pilgrim’s stay, including a bed, access to bathroom facilities, and basic meals as agreed.
2.2 Inform the Youth Apostolate of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs of pilgrims in advance.
2.3 Ensure that pilgrims are aware of house rules, curfews, and household expectations.
2.4 Maintain communication with the Youth Apostolate if any issues arise during the stay.

3. Liability



3.1 The Youth Apostolate does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury occurring at the host family residence.
3.2 Host Families are responsible for the health, safety, and supervision of pilgrims only within their home. The Youth Apostolate is not liable for incidents occurring outside the program or off-site activities.
3.3 Host Families must have valid insurance for their property and household.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy



4.1 Host Families must respect the privacy of pilgrims and must not disclose personal information without consent.
4.2 Contact details of pilgrims are provided strictly for the purposes of hosting and must not be used for other purposes.

5. Reporting



5.1 Host Families must report any incidents, concerns, or emergencies immediately to the Youth Apostolate contact person.
5.2 Failure to adhere to these terms may result in removal from the Host Family program.
